 zero waste insect repellent DIY

On our magical adventure here in Bali, I feel like mosquitos have been loving me extra much. Even though I’m all about all kinds of loves this is one I’m not the biggest fan of. My skin gets all swollen from those little creatures and my mental state is shaking from the hardcore itching. So this baby has been with me where ever and when ever I go somewhere. The recipe is filled with essential oils which are naturally anti-bug. So while using this you avoid any kind of toxic loads towards the mother earth and your precious body.

YOU NEED

30 drops citronella essential oil

30 drops peppermint essential oil

30 drops eucalyptus essential oil

20 drops lavender essential oil

1 Tablespoon vodka

1/2 cup / 1dl of water

HOW TO

Combine all the ingredients together in a recycled plastic or glass spray bottle and you’re all good to go. (If wishing to make more, double all ingredients)

Before spraying this magic formula on you give it a little shake so all is well combined and working for your favour the best possible way. Also giving some extra sprays to your skin over time if you feel like something is sucking your blood again, is suggested.

TIP!

If you crave something quick and simple, you can also mix lavender essential oil to your daily natural moisturising cream and rub it all over your skin. Not only will the mosquitos avoid you, you’ll also will be giving yourself some chill headspace from the aromatherapy benefits.
